This week Elena is joined by Joseph Obeng, financial planner at Q Wealth. Joseph shares his unique and inspirational story of how he got into the financial planning profession. Although he felt like he didn’t belong, he put himself out there, started conversations with strangers (literally, one was on a train!) and this strategy opened doors for him. He also shares with us his difficult upbringing and explains how this motivates him to be the best version of himself today. His upbringing also motivates him to serve his clients, he doesn’t want them to ever struggle financially like he did. Joseph also talks about his book, Flow State of Money. He wrote this book to offer the financial guidance which he wished he had received when he was younger. Joseph is a truly inspirational guy and this is a great episode for anyone who might think that they don’t fit the ‘financial adviser’ mould.
